Class Descriptions
Beginner
A beginner swimmer is someone who is not yet comfortable putting his or her face in the water and cannot float yet.
Advanced Beginner
This level is for people who are comfortable putting their face in the water and can take their feet off of the bottom and paddle a short distance.
Intermediate
An intermediate swimmer is able to swim across the shallow end of the pool (40 ft) with his or her face in the water and is able to get a breath comfortably while doing so. This level is for those who are comfortable in deep water.
Synchronized Swimming
Combine swimming, dance and gymnastics for a fun-filled afternoon. In this class, swimmers will learn the basic components of the sport of synchronized swimming including basic skulls, stroke variations and figures. We will learn to swim to the beat of music and "synchronize" arm and leg movements in a group. Swimmers must be comfortable in deep water and underwater as well as know freestyle and backstroke well.
Water Aerobics
Come join this lively class designed to help improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and endurance without the high impact of traditional "land" aerobics. For swimmers and non-swimmers alike, water aerobics is great for those just starting to exercise as well as people who want to add variety to an already established fitness regimen.
